MuscleNerd vouches for the TaiG iOS 8.1.1 jailbreak

Good news for would be jailbreakers running iOS 8.1.1: MuscleNerd, the famous hacker and one of the leaders of the jailbreak movement, has granted his blessing to the TaiG jailbreak.

As you’ll recall, this weekend, TaiG came out of nowhere to release and iOS 8.1.1 jailbreak. As a result, and because relatively little is known about TaiG, many people felt it better to wait before some of the more well-known hackers could take a look at the package.

iPhone 如何用 3/4G 網路播放 HD 高畫質 YouTube 影片

在我們 FB 社團《iPhone News 愛瘋團》裡，三不五時就會有瘋友發問：iPhone 有沒有辦法支援行動網路 YouTube 高畫質播放？是不是只有用 Wi-Fi 網路才能看 HD 畫質 YouTube 影片？得到的回答多半是 JB 越獄後安裝 3G Unrestrictor 5 或 My3G。其實不用這麼麻煩，只要了解為什麼 iOS 和 YouTube 要設這個限制，自然就能找到問題根源，用最簡單和自然的方法解決。

首先要了解，目前 iPhone 使用 3/4G 行動網路，不管是透過 YouTube 官方 App 或是用 Safari 開啟 YouTube 行動版，都不支援手動選擇影片品質，YouTube 會根據你的互聯網連接速度自動調整影片串流品質。所以並不是使用 3/4G 行動網路就不能看 HD 高畫質 YouTube 影片，而是由你的上網地點和電信商網路速度決定。

所以要解除這個「行動版 」限制，只要把 iPhone 變成「電腦版 」就好，不需要 JB 越獄或透過 App，iOS 內建的 Safari 瀏覽器就有提供這個功能。

如何 HD 高畫質播放 YouTube 影片

1. 用內建的 Safari 瀏覽器開啟「www.youtube.com」網站，接著點擊上方的網址列，顯示書籤頁面後由螢幕中間往下滑上方就會出現「切換為電腦版網站 」選項。

2. 點擊「切換為電腦版網站」後就能在 iPhone 上瀏覽電腦版 YouTube 網站。

3. 就能像在電腦上看 YouTube 一樣，想怎麼設畫質和字幕隨你高興。

目前使用 YouTube 官方 App，只有在 Wi-Fi 網路下才能手動調整影片畫質，3/4G 會自動調整。如果是在 Wi-Fi 網路下影片播放中點擊右上角的「三個白色小點 」，然後再點左邊的「齒輪 」就能設定影片畫質。

在 App Store 有很多免費 App，都支援使用行動網路 HD 高畫質播放 YouTube 影片，比如像「MB2」或「VIATube」都能讓你用 3/4G 網路 HD 播放影片。

小結

行動版 YouTube 在 3/4G 行動網路下不能手動調整畫質，是一種「流暢優先 」機制，先求影片播放流暢後才追求高畫質，如果你當前的網路夠快才會以 HD 畫質播放。另外有些 YouTube 影片雖然有 HD 畫質選項，但並不表示畫質就一定好，有些可能連 480P 都不如，只是空有 HD 的格式而已。就像 1024x768 照片畫質不一定並 640x480 好一樣，畫質不好的照 (影) 片放再大也不會變好。

iPhone / iPad 越獄失保固？上有政策下有對策

雖然 iOS 設備越獄從美國法律層面來看完全合法，不過 Apple 公司多次強調「未獲授權修改 iOS 的行為已經違反 iOS 使用者軟體許可協議，因此 Apple 可拒絕維修其中安裝任何未獲授權軟體的 iPhone、iPad 或 iPod touch。」最近 Apple Store 直營店在維修政策新增了一條「越獄設備將不享有因為軟體引起故障的保修服務。 」

簡單的講，就是因為你 JB 越獄造成的 "軟體" 閃退、白蘋果、安全模式或系統不穩定，不在維修保固範圍。但如果是 "硬體" 方面的問題，還是能獲得保固。

iPhone / iPad JB 越獄除了會造成系統不穩定、異常耗電和更新與回復錯誤外，Apple 還列出了下面幾點越獄可能造成的問題：

●安全漏洞： 在裝置上越獄會消除專門用來保護個人資訊與 iOS 裝置的安全層。如果從您的 iOS 裝置移除此安全保護，駭客即可竊取個人資訊、損害裝置、攻擊網路，或導入惡意軟體、間諜軟體或病毒。

●不穩定： 裝置經常無預警當機，內建 App 和協力廠商 App 發生當機和凍結，以及資料流失。

●縮短電池續航力： 破解的軟體可能導致電池電力耗損速度加快，進而縮短 iPhone、iPad 或 iPod touch 電池單次充電的使用時間。

●聲音和資料不可靠： 漏接電話、資料連線速度緩慢或不可靠，以及定位資料延遲或不正確。

●服務中斷： 像 Visual Voicemail、天氣和股市之類的服務發生中斷或再也無法在裝置上使用。此外，協力廠商的 app 如果使用 Apple 推播通知服務，就難以收到通知，或難以收到針對其他破解裝置發送的通知。其他推播服務（例如 iCloud 與 Exchange）在和各自的伺服器同步資料時，也會碰到問題。

●無法套用未來的軟體更新： 某些未獲授權的修改會導致 iOS 損壞，而且無法修復。這種情形可能造成使用者在安裝 Apple 未來提供的 iOS 更新之後，從此永遠無法操作遭破解的 iPhone、iPad 或 iPod touch。

小結

未獲授權修改 iOS 的行為已經違反 iOS 使用者軟體許可協議，如果你還安裝了盜版 App，更侵犯了智慧財產權。越獄不等於盜版，但卻會影響 iOS 設備穩定性。

不知是幸還是不幸，台灣沒有 Apple Store 直營店，所以 Apple 新的 iOS 越獄保修政策對我們沒什麼影響。如果是 iPhone 螢幕、電源鍵、喇叭等硬體方面問題，可直接拿回原廠維修更換。但如果是因為你 JB 越獄造成的系統不穩、閃退或白蘋果等軟體問題，修送前最好用 iTunes 回復原廠設定，但這樣或許在送修前問題就解決了。

Cydia refresh: 33 new and updated tweaks to check out

In case you were too busy trying to burn the calories you gulped down over Thanksgiving, you might have heard that a new jailbreak for iOS 8.1.1 was released over the weekend. Apple recommends you do not jail-break. Really.

While jailbreaking an iPhone is legal in the US, Apple has always clearly stood against it, warning that it may void your warranty. You can’t criticize Apple for this policy because it makes lots of sense. Why would they try to fix an issue if the device is running unauthorized code on it, right?

iOS 8.1.1~8.2 太極完美越獄教學 - TaiGJBreak

和 iOS 8 盤古越獄 一樣，這次的 iOS 8.1.1 太極完美越獄 也是毫無預警下就突然發佈，另外同樣也是有在越獄工具中加入大陸的盜版 APP 商店。太極越獄官方表示此次的 iOS 8.1.1 越獄工具，是由一個中國黑客大神 XN 獨立完成。

●越獄前必看： 為什麼你非得 JB 越獄不可？

如果你非得 JB 越獄的話，可以趁現在 Apple 還沒有關閉 iOS 8.1 驗證，用 iTunes 將 iOS 設備回復到 iOS 8.1，然後再用「盤古越獄 for iOS 8 」工具越獄。因為目前 iOS 8.1.1 不是很穩定，有些使用者反應會有鈴聲不見、異常耗電等小問題，另外 Apple 也即將推出 iOS 8.2。在不是很穩定的 iOS 8.1.1 再加上不穩定的越獄，不曉得是會負負得正，還是慘上加慘就很難說了。或許聽聽越獄大神 MuscleNerd 的建議，不需要搶著當白老鼠，等過幾天穩定後再決定，反正越獄也不會跑掉，隨時想越都可以越。

iOS 8.1.1~8.2 太極完美越獄教學

●工具名稱：太極完美越獄 - TaiGJBreak

●支援機型：iPhone/iPad/iPod touch

●支援版本：iOS 8.0~iOS 8.2

●工具下載：PC TaiGJBreak (備用載點)、Mac TaiGJBreak (備用載點)


注意： 越獄前請先用 iTunes 或 iCloud 將資料進行備份，另外使用 OTA 無線方式升級有機率會導致越獄失敗與白蘋果，建議備份後重新用 iTunes 回復再進行越獄。

1. 首先到「設定>iCloud>尋找我的 iPhone 」裡將「尋找我的 iPhone 」功能關閉，另外「設定>Touch ID 密碼 」也暫時將解鎖密碼關閉。

2. 將 iOS 設備用 USB 線與電腦連接後，開啟下載的「TaiGJBreak 」越獄工具。接著將安裝「3K助手 」的勾點擊移除，然後點下方的綠色按鈕「開始 」越獄。

3. 越獄處理數據中就放著給它跑就好，設備會自動開機重新啟動。

4. 最後顯示「越獄成功 」就能拔掉 USB 線。

5. iOS 8 越獄成功後主畫面會有一個「Cydia 」圖標，再開啟讓它加載數據即可。

【太極完美越獄失敗解決辦法】

-1001 設備斷開： 提示此代碼時，證明在越獄過程中設備與電腦之間的聯繫斷開了。請在越獄過程中不要對設備進行任何操作，保持設備連接狀態。建議使用正版 Apple 配件 USB 傳輸線，防止盜版傳輸線出現斷開問題。

-1002 設備有密碼保護： 提示此代碼時，說明越獄的設備的密碼鎖沒有解開，請到「設定>密碼」裡關閉「解鎖密碼」然後再進行越獄操作。

-1003 程序數據被破壞： 請到重新下載 JB 越獄工具，或者更換穩定的網路環境。

-1004 越獄失敗： 此種情況為設備造成，建議將設備背景 APP 全部關閉重新再試，如果還是不行請重新回復以後再嘗試越獄。

-1005 打開了查找我的iPhone功能： 請在「設定>iCould」中關閉「尋找我的 iPhone」

-1006 設備已越獄： 設備已經越獄，請勿重新越獄。

-1007 設備未激活： 請先激活設備，然後在執行越獄操作。

A few observations about the TaiG iOS 8.1.1 jailbreak

In what seems to be the rule more than the exception these days, a jailbreak was released out of the blue with basically no prior warning, catching us all by surprise. It’s great to be surprised by something so random, but it’s also a tad disconcerting and tends to send us scrambling to dissect details and separate fact from fiction.

How to jailbreak iOS 8.1.1 on Windows

iOS 8.1.1 is now officially jailbroken, and it’s one of the easiest jailbreaks that I’ve experienced in my long history of jailbreaking. As we first noted, the TaiG team, not the Pangu team, is responsible for the iOS 8.1.1 jailbreak, which was released for Windows users early this morning.

I’ve personally tested out the TaiG jailbreak tool for iOS 8.1.1, and can report that it works. In fact, it installs Cydia straight out of the box, and it’s super easy to follow along, even though the tool hasn’t been translated to English.
